Water supply

Ensuring water quality involves a multi-stage process:
    • Captation:

    Extraction of surface or groundwater.

    • Treatment:

Correction of physical, chemical, and microbiological characteristics to make it safe for consumption.

    • Lifting/Transfer:

Conveyance of treated water through pipes to reservoirs.

    • Storage:

Accomplished in surface or elevated reservoirs. From this point, water for consumption will be injected into the distribution network through pressurization or gravity-fed.

    • Distribution:

Dispensing water to consumers through a distribution network.

    • Consumption:

Utilization of treated water by consumers.
